Was a big honour to receive an invitation to participate in a tour around Viktualienmarkt in Munich. It was organised by Kristina Frank, who is a Munich City Minister and CSU politician.
The goal was to find out more about Viktualien market, hear all the stories behind each stand on the market, find out what inspires the owners, how their journey started. And of course to try local delicasies, have a look at hand made projects that are supported by some stalls. I must say, this tour was interesting for me not only as a content creator, but also as a local who lives here and goes shopping to this local market.
We visted 9 locations in total during the first tour and next one will take place in October.
And since I love fine dining and unusual products or recipes, I will point out what was especially interesting for me.
Gürmet: Shakshuka, Turkish coffee
First8 Kombucha: slushy, raspberry kombucha
Wilde zeiten feines vom Wild: wild boar bolognese sauce
Toelzer kasladen: all cheese, please
Mitbringsel am Markt: wooden boards for breakfast bread, personalised mugs as souvenirs
Marina's feinkost: gnocchi and pistachio pralines
Resi am Markt: spirulina smoothie, ginger drink
Kraut und Müller: pickled black garlic and fermented kimchi
Essendorfer: aubergine spread that can be used as pesto, mango chili dip
